Community:Novian Academy
The Novian Academy of Arts & Sciences' is Shroud of the Avatars first ever institution dedicated to the education of Avatars within New Britannia!
The Academy is a collective group of players who will dedicate themselves to teaching players both old and new in specific areas of expertise in order to provide more transparency and understanding of the game world to those who want to learn more. The Academy is founded by Kazyn Phoenixfyre, acting Dean of the Academy, and Net, our prestigious combat instructor looking to educate others the tactics he used that made him the champion combatant he is!
The Novian Academy will host reoccurring free classes in structured classes that progress from beginner level courses through to advanced courses. Anyone is free to audit these courses and those who complete the courses shall receive a custom image of their very own certification or degree made by the lovely Jenny Phoenixfyre! This way you can show all of your friends and guild mates on your website, signature, whatever you choose that you've officially been trained by New Britannia's most prestigious scholars!
Furthermore, we will offer packages for hands on courses Avatars can pay for in order to be provided the tools, materials or other coursework material so that they can participate! Buy any avatar is welcome to bring their own tools and materials and participate for free!
Kazyn Phoenixfyre shall be teaching a "Citizenship in New Britannia" course line which covers the basics of getting started in New Britannia, community sites to take note of, where to start off making your name in this new world. Net will be teaching combat classes in his "Combat Certification" course line. Advanced classes will cover topics such as housing, guild foundation and community events, and crafting - to name a few. Advanced certifications to this line will include things such as guild leadership, politics and Novian History.
