An Ode to Dame Lori

An Ode to Dame Lori
Author: DarthAussie
Dedication: Dame Lori

by DarthAussie

I gazed upon m'lady once at a local fare
Your beauty and knowledge had led me to stare
Twas said that your name was Dame, but to beware
For every man that has tried to suit you is left in despair
But I heed not that warning, for when you think of the harshest lands; I've been there
I give my word and every wealth to you my maiden as no one is more fair
I would forsake all Britannic Virtues; the sacred scriptures I would tear
To the farthest reaches and forgotten land any treasure is for you to wear
All I ask of you, my love, is our hand in hand, a pair
And the honor of bathing in the essence of your air

Madness of Love

Madness of Love
Author: Amaranthus
Dedication: Sir Dom John

by Amaranthus

Like morning mist
Your foot, it kissed
A rug that loved it not
How close, but far
Above you are
Oh, how I am distraught

That ankle dear
The heel it bears
Those playful, peachy toes
I want to reach
And love them each
To lull my longing throes

No, please don't go,
Sir Dom, my woe
I cannot wait 'til night
And lie forlorn
On wicked stone
Until new dreams take flight

Yet finally,
Again I see
Your grace, I almost moan
But Dom, I keel
This can't be real!
Your feet are not alone!

You crook, you cheat,
You charlatan!
You're making a mistake!
She has to go,
I'll make it so
That wench is but a fake!

I'm not obsessed
It's to the best
Cause I'm the one to wed
So change your will
I'll watch you still
From underneath your bed

An Ode to Starr

An Ode to Starr
Author: Amber Raine
Dedication: Lord Darkstarr

by Lady AmberRaine

Your chaos blankets me with a new calm
Twisted vortexes of once was lay in your constrictive palm
Broken glass of empty halls
Garbled passages of passion my thought stalls

Lingered mantras too dark to taste
Filtered irony too young to waste
Severed minds to be spread upon your lips
Darkness unused to loves hungering kiss

Left has now become the new right
Hearts collide to flight or fight
My blood stained tears to a man who stands
Undeterred on his last remaining hand

Decomposed memories of empty castle walls
Until you return to rekindle these shadowed halls
Drive me deeper to darkness of the day
Your understanding compassionate hand brushing sanity away

Don't strand me here in this unforgiving light
To chaotic darkness we must remain our flight
Descend we be to restful eternity
For you are the only with the power to set me free.

An Ode to Lord British

An Ode to Lord British
Author: Tibs
Dedication: Lord British

by Tibs

Life runs like the tumbling dice
We wager with each throw:
Searching through the fire and ice
Without the means to know.

In answer to our questing dream
Inspiring ardor's goal and stream
Forever evolving each and other
Falter not, my elder brother:
Without the courage to carry on
There is no quest, nor hope of dawn.

Faded in a shadowed veil
The old man has his tales to tell:
The journey of humanity
Is very much the same to me.

Beyond the grave, and out of date
In my heart I still relate.
Time beyond and now time still
Knowing how we really feel

Life and breath in every heart
Timeless, ageless, works of art
In this life are those who care:
Between them bonds a common share.

Are hearts so odd at soulful root
When moved to mourn the bitter fruit?
When winging wild in twilit skies
Or singing songs and lullabies
Or kindling up the freedom flame
What difference find, save flesh and name?

If naught is common in the bond
That poets share, in soul beyond
The reach of weak mortality,
Then where is Man's nobility?

May My Heart Be Your Canvas

May My Heart Be Your Canvas
Author: Amber Raine
Dedication: Stephen Daniele

by Lady AmberRaine

Can you see our forever;
lingering passionately in my eyes?
Hear flames of burning embers;
in the voices of angels cries?
Do you dream of endless dances;
in the sheets of blank white pages?
Stare out the midnight window;
taste crimson vintage throughout the ages?
Do you dance for endless love;
in the depths of the abyss?
Eternally crave what you cannot find;
True loves pure dark chaotic kiss?

If I told you that I loved you;
for the colours you have shown me.
Would you flee in unhinged terror?
or would your rainbow canvas continue to shower thee?
I can hold the paints of your heart;
in a moonglow's forever if you choose.
But by the graces of the eight;
only you know all you could lose.

So I ask but with a single thought;
where all fleets like grains of sand.
Can you see our portrait of love as one;
Or have the colours turned murky as they ran?
I shall hold my breath forever;
as you whisper my fate to me.
Shall my colours to black and white be lost;
Or with your brush a stroke eternally set me free?

Three Dreams

Three Dreams
Author: Malchor the Second
Dedication: Firelotus

by Malchor the Second

Yesternight I dreamed three dreams –
Thrice, I trod fast-frozen plains
Beneath a grey and angry sky
Through windy storms and icy rains.

First, I dreamt a single rose
Sprang forth upon the barren field.
Oh, to touch it! So I longed!
And there beside the rose I kneeled.

Reaching for it with my hand
Naught, I felt, but stinging thorn.
Into my heart there came a chill,
And for the rose, I’d naught but scorn.

Again I dreamt, again I trod
Across the lifeless icy fen.
There before me from the rime
Snow-white lilies sprang just then.

Oh, to touch them! So I longed!
Beside the lilies, there I kneeled.
Yet before they met my hand,
Withering, their petals peeled.

I dreamt again of howling skies.
Ice and wind, they bit and tore.
On I trod, mile after mile
Until I could go on no more.

At my feet, there bloomed a bloom
The rarest one to ever grow:
A lotus, fair and fiery –
To warm my heart and melt the snow.

Now awake, I dream no more
For I have found my heart’s desire.
I tread no fens of frost and hoar,
For e’er shall burn the lotus’ fire.
