Quest/Output Overview:

  • Greetings! How unusual to find a kindred spirit this deep into the wood. How delightfully chaotic it is to meet you! I could use your help, if you see fit to consider my offer.
  • My name is Gina, and I am a student of Chaos. So often that is met with shock and even disdain, but I assure you, the only danger in studying Chaos is learning that truth about our own existence.
  • I suppose some would say that destroying the Virtues is my purpose, but that could not be further from the truth. My only purpose is to show how it is Chaos, not Virtue, that is the key to understanding our true nature. Being out here, in the wood, you learn that it is Chaos, not Virtue, that shapes who we are. You can see it in the loving merchant who kills a bandit to preserve his own life. In the moth that finds truth in pretending to be a leaf so that it does not fall prey to the sparrow. Being here, you learn the truth... that there is no Virtue, only Chaos. And Chaos it is not evil, or anti-virtuous as some might say. It simply IS.
  • I have never been better, my friend! Sure, it's dangerous to be alone this deep in the woodlands, but the danger only adds to the exhilaration of being on such as important quest. And nowhere else is the evidence of Chaos so clear for knowledge. Anything could happen at any moment! I have never felt so alive!
  • If you have spent any time in the company of the Students of Virtue, I am sure that they told you that Chaos is the absence of Virtue, and that it is the reason we find ourselves in such dire circumstance. But it is fear, not Chaos, that destroys Virtue. And it is only when you let go of that fear and embrace Chaos that you can truly experience what it means to live a life of Truth, Love, and Courage.
  • Are you aware of the Books of Virtue? Well, you see, I am confident that if Martin is able to acquire them, he will use them to further his own narrow, self-serving teachings about the Virtues. But I have a plan that will prevent that. All you need to do is bring all twelve books back here so that I may burn them at the Chaos Shrine I have constructed. Destroying the books is the only way to demonstrate that Chaos indeed is the true nature of Virtue. I will of course reward you for this - a unique reward, I think you will agree.
  • The only reason there are students, such as Elizabeth, Daria, and Timothy, is so that the "master" can feel superior to someone. To become a true student of Chaos, one must become a master of the self.
  • Virtue is simply the order we, or those outside such as the Oracle, try to impose upon ourselves to avoid embracing Chaos and our true nature.
  • Until you embrace Chaos and your own true nature, I can not risk telling you more.
  • The only real chaos is truth. Or was that the other way around... does it even matter?
  • Love is the most dishonest of all of the Virtues, as is used to excuse the most hateful of acts. Men kill and die for it, never seeing the irony of their actions. Ardoris itself is divided and risks destruction because of it. How anyone could call it a Virtue, I will never understand.
  • Courage is a noble concept, but what right does another have to define what courage is for me. Sometimes, speaking the truth can be the most courageous thing one can do. But how then can you separate the virtues of Truth and Courage. Some would say my leaving to pursue the truth about the virtues is indeed a courageous act, not a chaotic one. Not Martin, of course. He would say that I lock the courage and conviction needed to study and embrace the virtues. Well, he'd not likely say it aloud... after all, that would not be very virtuous, would it?
  • I respect Elizabeth a great deal. She has a sense of integrity and honesty that I find admirable. I think she alone may be the only person to really understand why I felt the need to leave. She understands what it means to be true to yourself and to your beliefs.
  • It is no wonder Daria chose to study the Virtue of Courage. She considers herself a brave warrior, born of a long bloodline of warriors. It is said her lineage stretches all the way back to the Battle Maidens of old. But did she have the courage to stand by me, her friend, when my ideas ran counter to her own?
  • Timothy's story is a tragic one indeed, but not mine to tell. Just know that if anyone deserves to find love, it is he.
  • The Oracle and the prophecies she peddles are nothing but a construct created to keep us cowering in fear. To keep us afraid so that wea re not able to discover the truth. The truth about Chaos and the truth about ourselves.
  • Please understand that until you embrace Chaos and your own true nature, there are simply some things we should not discuss.
  • Unlike the Students of Virtue, I am actually interested in acquiring all 12 books, and I am willing to compensate you generously for them. They are difficult to find, of course, but if you do so, I can provide you with your own Shrine of Chaos, for use in your own contemplations. Just bring all 12 books back to me, so that I might... deal with them appropriately.
  • Well of course they will be difficult to find. Do you think I would be out here risking life and limb if I could just wander into a book seller and acquire them there?

The books can be found in the following locations:
