Pattern Weight: 0.1 |
Eternal Pattern are modifications to Armor, Weapon and Cloak Slot items, that allows the item to have a different, modified look. The specific stats on the item, are not changed, when modifying an item with a pattern.
To apply a pattern, you will need to be at the appropriate Crafting Station for the specific item to be modified. At the Crafting Station, select the Modifications category, and then select the appropriate Reshape recipe that is for the specific item type.
- Cloth and Leather Armor can be modified at a Tailoring Station. Chain and Plate Armor can be modified at a Blacksmithing Station.
- Ranged, Bludgeon and Polearm weapons can be modified at a Carpentry Station. Blades weapons can be modified at a Blacksmithing Station.
- Cloak Slot items can be modified at a Tailoring Station.
Gear Patterns Flexibility[edit]
- All Armor patterns can be applied to any type of armor (Cloth, Leather, Chain or Plate). These are now Universal Armor Patterns.
- All Cloak Slot patterns can be applied to any type of Cloak Slot items (Cloak, Backpack, Quiver, Wings). These are now Universal Cloak Slot Patterns.
- All weapon patterns can only be applied to the specific type of weapon item (Bludgeon, Ranged, Polearms, Blades or Shield).
Pattern Types[edit]
- There are two specific types of Patterns:
- Basic Patterns are a Pattern that can be applied to an item, and then the pattern is consumed in the process. The item that has a Basic Pattern applied to it, will not yield a Basic Pattern back, when salvaging the item.
- Eternal Patterns are a Pattern that can be applied to an item, and then the pattern is consumed in the process, but the Eternal Pattern is added to the item. The item that has an Eternal Pattern applied to it, will always yield an Eternal Pattern back, when salvaging the item.
Found or Purchased[edit]
- Eternal Patterns can be purchased in the Crown Shop in game.
Recovery of a Pattern from an item[edit]
- Recovery of a pattern from an item that specifically states it will yield a pattern, can be done in two different ways:
- You can salvage the item at an appropriate Crafting Station, which will destroy the item. This will give you the specified pattern that was stated on the item.
- You can use a Pattern Remover on the item, which will not destroy the item. This will give you the specified pattern stated on the item back, and revert the item back to it's base unmodified form.
Trivia[edit]
- It's an eternal pattern because you get it back after you destroy the item. But you do have to destroy the item you used it on to get it back - just so it is absolutely clear. [1]
