Geistesser is a hostile undead frostgeist creature.
- Oh, I've never seen one, myself. They're very rare and only make themselves visible to the desperate, or so I've been told. But from what I've gathered from the frostgeist I talked to... Why are you looking at me like that? Of course I talked to the frostgeist! How do you think I'm still alive to tell you the tale? But that's beside the point. The point is that the geistesser is the reason frostgeists are here in the ruined buildings. The geistesser wants to keep an eye on his pet, so to speak. They're a reminder that the geistesser needs to be fed as part of the deal.

Lore[edit]
- Alright, so listen... ARE YOU LISTENING? Oh yes, yes, you seem to be, at least now. So, it wasn't too long after we got here, at the monastery, that we started seeing blue lights coming from the condemned buildings along the cliffside. Well, to be clear, I was the one who saw the lights first, and I told the Captain... BLOWHARD! That's right, I said it! He scoffed at me and told me to not go near the condemned buildings. Wouldn't even consider sending a guard or three to investigate. Cowardice, I tell you, no matter what anyone else says. Shall I continue?
- So phooey on Captain Blowhard! Wait, do you know who I'm talking about? Of course you do! We're on the same level. Anymeans, I took it upon myself one dark night to investigate those glowing blue lights. I carefully navigated the treacherous, condemned buildings until I came upon one of the glowing beings... a FROSTGEIST! That's right, I knew what it was the moment I saw it. I've heard many a tale passed down from my mother to me about frostgeists, and many other things. All stories and history is passed down this way in my family. Allows us to make the stories more personalized and colorful. Do you like the color I add... COLOR! Ha! Didn't see that comin', did you?
- The servant is anyone that's made a deal with the geistesser. You see, the geistesser makes a bargain with some desperate idiot, usually someone who's on death's door. Once the deal is done, the desperate bloke gets his desire and becomes the geistesser's servant. And as part of their duties, they must provide the geistesser a steady supply of fresh souls. That's what the frostgeists are, you know, the remaining husks of the souls the servant fed to the geistesser. It's a rather efficient system, if you ask me, though not something I want to be a part of, no sir. I SAID NO! Just in case I wasn't clear.
- The geistesser needs to be fed souls so it can maintain the energy needed to stay in this realm. And the best way for it to get a regular supply is to have a servant. The servant is usually someone that sold their servitude to the geistesser in exchange for... well, whatever they desired. It could be riches, someone they desire, or more commonly, to escape the clutches of death. Considering the close proximity of frostgeists, I'm certain that there is a servant among us. Who it is, I know not. It could be anyone, so we must watch ourselves and keep our conversations low. - Esmeralda
