Gerad Zhal is counselor for Baroness Gianna Baden-Fox in Blade of the Avatar, and had been Loremaster to the Etceter courts for many decades. He is described as small, with a stocky build and broad shoulders, and a bald head rimmed with white hair. He has a look that is at the same time both bemused and mischievous.
