Controls[edit]
In this category of options, there are several sub-categories.
- Slider Bars for Adjusting Camera Sensitivity
- Check boxes for toggling various settings
- Keybindings
KeyBindings[edit]
In this subcategory, a keyboard or mouse input (often called a keybind or a hotkey) can be assigned to activate and/or deactivate a specific in-game function. Each function has the option of assigning up to 2 keybinds.
Most functions have already been assigned a default keybind. If you want to assign a new keybind, scroll to the desired function, click on one of the keybind boxes next to it, then perform the desired keyboard or mouse input. The name of the input should appear in the box you chose, and will now be assigned to the function. Note: the Escape key is reserved for the "Close All Windows" function and cannot be used as a custom keybind.
You can reset to the default keybinds by clicking "Reset (Norm)" (which resets the default keybinds to the same ones your started the game with). "Reset (Alt)" resets to an alternate set of default keybinds (which are somewhat different that the ones you started the game with).
Both of these reset buttons will change all of the keybinds to the default set (including both columns of keybinds). There is no way to reset a single keybind to its default.
See Controls for a partial listing of the default keybinds.
Note: The "Mirror Flip Decoration" keybind (which is set to "N" by default) is supposed to switch the item to be a mirror image of itself; however, this command works on very few items (because it was never fully implemented). Also, there is long-standing bug in which the "Snap 90-Degree Rotate along Vertical Axis (Lie Flat or Stand Upright)" function is mis-assigned to the "Start Glyph Combo" keybind (which is set to "R" by default). So, if the "Snap 90-Degree Rotate" keybind does not seem to be working (or if you want to change it), go to Options, click on the Controls tab, scroll down to "Start Glyph Combo", and change its keybind.

Exit to Menu[edit]
This takes your avatar out of the game world, and then takes you to the main menu. This does not log you out, and it does not close the game program.
This option will often help resolve various glitches, such as being permanently stuck in place after being resurrected, having items become stuck in your inventory (the item names will turn red), etc. If you Exit to Menu and then click the appropriate "Play" button, it will often fix the problem by forcing the game to reload the graphical user interface and to reload your avatar into the scene.
Using this option does not always fix the issue of poor frame rates developing after a prolonged game session (which could be due to memory leaks). In this situation, Quitting and then restarting the game will often fix the issue.
Quit[edit]
Quits the current game session, logs you out, and closes the game program.
