Spite is a NPC Town located in the Drachvald region of the Novian continent. The town is located at the edge of Stormwater Lake, across from Malice beneath the shadow of the rugged peaks, The Sirens.
Lore[edit]
- Spite has been built on top of the treacherous cliffs overlooking Stormwater Lake. Despite its scenic views, Spite is no joke. The docks are frequently used by the undead to make their way to Malice, which is a major place of congregation for the undead. As the locals well know it is all too common for dense fog to roll in and line the banks. Scattered throughout Spite and its surroundings are also waterfalls that cut through the cliffs and drain into Stormwater Lake. Coffins are shipped from the docks of Spite to Malice for their burial.[1]
- The Mortuarium at Spite, a place where the dead are worshiped and prepped before their final resting place. Some white water rapids go down mountainous cliffs and culminate in the Catalina Falls which drop into the lake below. Do you dare cross this wooden rope bridge spanning this treacherous gorge? Spite has some great housing spots, like a lot situated on top of a sheer vertical cliff. Definitely a must have for any scenic view goer! Sexton’s Arch, to the East of Spite, is a unique rock formation forming an arch known for its scenic views of the nearby town of Spite. The inhabitants of Spite have not only built their homes on cliffs overlooking Stormwater Lake but also utilize the height of the jagged rocks to obtain wind power.[2][3]

Trivia[edit]
- Designer Esteben “SorcerousSteve” Zaldivar was inspired by European towns built on seaside cliffs and the rugged coasts of the American Northwest.(citation needed)
- Spite (Unclone): Spite is located on the shores of Stormwater Lake in the Drachvald Region and is a pivotal location in the Path of Love. Spite started as a cloned scene (based on the Forest 01 PRT/POT template, aka the PaxLair template). We completely rebuilt it from scratch in Release 32. The city is now built into terraced cliffs with a beautiful waterfall and has some key landmarks like the Mortuarium. Note that scenes that we unclone after the Final Wipe will NOT get this level of rework, and the placement of NPC buildings and player housing lots in those towns will remain unchanged; only cosmetic changes of building styles, terrain, and foliage will be made.[4]
