Before Shroud of the Avatar was announced, Portalarium teased its existence by talking about What is a Lord British "Ultimate" RPG. This quickly followed with the Lord British Presents website and a week-long countdown. When the timer expired on March 8, 2013 at 10:00am CST, a link to the Kickstarter for Shroud of the Avatar went live.
