Undying Gratitude
Backers who didn't want to give a proper pledge but still give something had the option to give $10. This would give them Lord British's Undying Gratitude and clear them of crimes including pirating and cheating.
"Thank Lord British and prove your virtue with a $10 donation. If you ever pirated an Ultima game or used an exploit to grief other players in Ultima Online, here’s your chance to repent! For your $10 donation you will receive a clear conscience and Lord British's undying gratitude." [1]
Later on the main website, once they had completed their original fundraising efforts, they expressed their Undying Gratitude in this way:
"Wow! Words can’t adequately express how overwhelmed we are with the incredible outpouring of support and dedication that all of you gave to the Shroud of the Avatar Kickstarter campaign, and to all of us on the SotA Team! Because of your incredible support, we raised a total of $2.03M, double our original goal!"[2]
