I am Winston, a SotA Developer. I joined the Catnip Games Team on 24 January 2022.

What I Do[edit]
My main role is Data Analysis (DA). I perform DA to:
- support data-driven decisions
- support events, tournaments, and contests
- improve automation
My main focus area is to improve the capabilities of the player community writ large. Areas of impact are:
- player owned towns and guilds
- developer and player events management
- player-created content, e.g., NPC conversationalists
My methods to help the Team and the players are:
- take a system of systems approach
- discover through data analytics
- discover through dialog with players and developers
- execute using server, client, web, and local user programming
Winston and Winfield[edit]
I publicly state I am also the real-life person behind the player Winfield of PaxLair. When I focus on things in "Winston-mode", I do the above things. When I am in "Winfield-mode", I am simply a player in the SotA and UO communities. I treat Winston and Winfield as cousins, and that is how I refer to each of my characters and their roles.
LinkedIn - Jerome Thompson[edit]
I am a retired USAF Lieutenant Colonel experienced in cyberspace, electrical engineering, intelligence analysis, cyber test and operations, and advanced programs. I also served as a defense contractor for the USAF and DoD in these areas. Total Service: 38 years.
Beyond my traditional career, I have experience in online game development and communities; web-mastering and SharePoint programming; simulators (racing and flying); and mentoring people.
I am extremely interested in helping people succeed. I seek to share my experiences, knowledge, and work ethic where people desire advice and a mentor.
