Diamond fields is a Metropolis-sized city that is home to all the devotionals and because we are a sub POT we are never under siege. We can be accessed from many POT's including Jade Valley, Port Phoenix and many others. We are a community comprised of players from many play styles and guild affiliations or lack there of and try to organize events detached from the normal guild centric model. Our crafting pavilion is laid out as the town central focus, and here you will find many Grandmasters almost always willing to mentor students in addition to our monthly crafting events. Random mentoring occurs frequently and is advertised via the noble's channel or through Discord.

The unique row house horeshoes area, creates a mini mall effect around the crafting pavilion, and the town planned layout has been arranged to allow full exposure for all types of land owners from row to town. City lots are by customized placement, you can contact Lace Delamorte for information regarding this.

Diamond Fields will grow organically in that plot placement is by request in undeveloped areas. Want to live on the island, send in a request with the plot size and meet Lace out there or another town official to get your orientation exactly how you want it. There has been a lot of fear about evictions expressed on the forums. Diamond Fields will not be randomly evicting folks to let in others. Residency is on a first come first server basis.

Diamond Fields connects to Siren Song Bayou and Bearskin Grotto which are to subsidiary biomes affiliated with Diamond Fields. It is nested within Port Phoenix via the docks located on the east side of the zone, and will host a guild hall for the guild Prism. The focus is on Diamond Fields at this time and residency in the other biomes are conditional at this time.

During the Pre-Alpha phase of Shroud of the Avatar, Diamond Fields has hosted the first Fashion Show aka Brittania's Next Top model complete with a Red Carpet welcome and swag bags of goodies for all spectators. The Fastest Decorator in the West was hosted using an adobe city sized house with 1000 items crafted and bought that were used by the contestants. We have had the price is right during the first month of persistence and plan to do another after launch where contestants win full rooms of decorations and compete up to a showcase showdown of hundreds of free deco. We have regular fishing derbies, and have successfully tested the novian world series of poker for later deployment.

Diamond Fields has also hosted the New Brittania Breast Cancer awareness Biatholon for 3 years now and gave out Pink Coconut Bras for the event and helped prepare the community for the elimination of the /stuck and /zone command. A Putt Putt Golf Course was constructed for R27 and upon subsequent wipes including the final wipe, this has become a permanent staple of this POT.

Upcoming events include the New Brittania Gladiators event, which will reuse the golf course and have racers that are stymied by volunteer gladiators out to slow them down. While PVP will be enabled between those parties, it is a non death match event.

More events will come, along with the scheduling of repeat events for those that have been play tested during pre-alpha. You can always reach out to @Lace on the shroud forums for more information.

The goal of Diamond Fields is to be a crafter haven, a marketplace, and a community above and beyond all that encourages player cooperation no matter guild designation, player level etc. As the governor I want to help promote cooperation and learning and I think as of February 2018 we are well on that way with our Crafting School, the resident created library, and all the willing grandmasters that donate their time to teach at each of our monthly crafting events. With some adjustments we would like to extend those events to gustball-practice dummy sessions to occur regularly as well.

Even if you don't want to live here, we want to be a group of players that encourage questions and help out new players in the ways that we can.
