00:33 last one of 2017 we've had a full year
00:36 of almost every Friday except for the
00:39 telethons and you know the things of
00:42 livestreams and we've we've had a great
00:44 time with you guys in twitch and discord
00:47 chatting with you and showing you a
00:49 bunch of cool stuff that comes up in
00:50 that following releases now that we're
00:53 in release 49 we're already hard at work
00:55 on release 50 stuff it's gonna be a new
00:59 year next year is just uh well well
01:03 let's start talking about that because
01:04 he has a whole lot of exciting things
01:06 that he wants to share a lot of the
01:07 stuff that's been in the quarterly
01:09 update that we put out this week some of
01:11 the instruction details for our 49 and a
01:14 bunch of other zone introductions

01:26 various fields you know it's like the
01:28 news reporters like they introduce like
01:30 the what wouldn't you know your

03:17 work on like traps in Iraq was in the
03:19 game recently been working a lot on the
03:23 map implementation and we got Cory on
03:26 board to start doing some of the web
03:27 stuff of that
03:29 acquired go to map which we'll talk more
03:33 about later Bob soon I never heard of
03:34 that what that doesn't yeah we'll talk
03:37 with detail I work we acquired it and no
03:39 longer call it well yeah we need a
03:44 better name yes known previously known
03:49 as yeah we're yeah we have to actually
03:51 obviously mention it to tie it over but
03:53 we call it what now them the map system
03:56 I guess let's just yeah I think over the
04:08 holiday break an unofficial name for our
04:11 map system yeah I know that's been
04:17 amazing I'm I'm glad we have that and I
04:20 know the community you guys are glad
04:22 that we had that because we're gonna be
04:24 able to do so much more
04:25 you guys can talk about that and give a
04:26 little sneak peek as to what's possibly
04:29 coming up but first we have a few

05:50 and a sort language doesn't have real
05:53 swords that'd be cool though it gets
05:55 dangerous yeah okay yeah specially the
05:58 other like your your chair under it and

07:14 cool and I think we're gonna be maybe
07:17 making cosplay some more in the future

08:24 I've been in the rules specifically but
08:25 you can create a YouTube video and you
08:28 know rock it out you know that it's
08:30 creative writing on to so anything like
08:32 that to be just fine it'd be awesome we
08:35 want to see what you you have to show
08:37 that's running for a few weeks through
08:38 the holiday break also through the
08:40 holiday break we've got the contest has
08:43 been running for a little while now
08:44 because it's a pretty big contest a walk
08:46 through how to video creation contests
08:49 and we've been seeing some really
08:51 amazing videos produce is back we're
08:53 going to show two of those or get into
08:55 our stuff here we're gonna show two of
08:57 those we're giving away 25 photos to
09:00 winners every single week leading up to
09:03 the main prize winners for that contest
09:06 so you could win weekly and then you
09:10 could win again if your is because that
09:12 one's kind of random you you can win the
09:15 ultimate prize which is
09:17 or like we go through and do the judging
09:19 all that good stuff

10:27 holiday if you have a holiday decorated
10:30 you know holiday themed a talent or
10:32 person will maybe share that on social
10:34 we also the airy fund developer crafting
10:37 competition and charity auction where
10:39 you can get some items that we created
10:42 that ends tomorrow if you have less than
10:45 a day or maybe about a day to actually
10:48 get one of those items that we've
10:49 crafted so that's time's running out on
10:51 that and I think I think you've got some
10:54 great at something yeah pretty good and
10:56 it's an auction so you know you can
10:58 auction snipe right at the end just like
11:00 10 seconds lunch all right so we got

11:08 we've got oh the community party here at

11:17 from the break we're gonna have a party
11:19 on January 12 which is a Friday I was
11:23 good at parties and Fridays we're gonna

12:12 starting with sure Terkel fair toggle
12:15 and he created a video the locked about
12:19 the locked combat deck system mmm so
12:22 tutorial on that very useful and then
12:25 we'll go to little tipsy which is what
12:28 I'm gonna be on Christine about the
12:31 malice dungeon now he actually a little
12:33 tipsy actually created a series a series
12:35 yeah so we're gonna just show the part
12:37 one because we don't wanna see here you
12:39 know there's so many videos you guys got

13:23 videos first one is up with and get my
13:30 folks here this one again is the lock
13:34 combat deck tutorial hello avatars and
13:39 congratulations on choosing an amazing
13:41 game and community to join I am gist and
13:45 today I will show you how to build a
13:47 locked combat deck as well as explain to
13:50 you the pros and cons of the locked
13:51 combat deck so without further ado to
13:55 access the combat decks window simply
13:57 click on the windows selector icon in
13:59 the top right of your screen and the
14:01 combat decks will be the fifth option
14:03 down from here you can equip decks set
14:06 off from the decks modify copy or delete
14:09 your existing decks if you have not
14:11 already done so scroll down and click on
14:13 new deck on the left side of the screen
14:15 is the current skills you have available
14:17 to you on the right is where you go to
14:20 replace those skills if you are making
14:21 an unlocked deck which I'll get into in
14:23 another tutorial and this right here is
14:25 your combat bar where you but assign the
14:27 skills do you want in your deck a
14:29 location to create the lock deck all you
14:32 do is drag the skill that you want from
14:34 the left side of your screen to the
14:36 location of your desire on the combat
14:38 bar only one skill can accommodate one
14:41 spot I need to give in time you can also
14:43 link gear that you're wearing you're
14:45 going to make sure you're wearing it and
14:46 then you're going to click use current
14:47 equipment and it will assign the gear
14:49 that you
14:50 to this specific deck this right here is
14:53 an example of a fully locked deck that
14:55 I've already created the pros of a
15:01 locked combat deck are reliably having
15:03 skills at your disposal to use and not
15:05 having to wait for the car to get
15:06 randomly drawn in a locked combat deck
15:09 you can make your cards more powerful
15:11 and use less focus by charging them up
15:13 you do this by pressing and holding the
15:15 card until the number of stacks you want
15:17 has been achieved then releasing stacks
15:20 you can achieve is based on the skill
15:21 level of the card level 10 gives you two
15:24 stacks level 20 you see three stacks
15:26 level 40 gives you for sex and level 80
15:29 gives you five stacks the cons of a lock
15:31 deck however are as follows you cannot
15:34 use combos and the skills generate heat
15:37 as you use them if they get too hot you
15:41 will not be able to use them and would
15:42 have to wait for them to cool down to
15:44 combat this however have multiple cards
15:47 set up for use and alternate charging
15:49 each card before use by the time you get
15:52 back to the first card it would have
15:54 pulled down if you're not currently
15:56 subscribed feel free to click that

16:16 let's split this up I consulted with my
16:19 my staff of our console if you will and
16:24 they suggested that we show the next one
16:26 a little bit later and give away prizes
16:29 instead so we're going to give away guys
16:31 we got a winter pattern glass chandelier
16:34 or floor lamp to those ornate hanging
16:36 and potted megapack my personal favorite
16:38 through those ice nightmare masks to
16:40 those what we got to choose one what do
16:42 you what do you think anything that ice
16:45 nightmare mass sounds pretty cool yeah
16:48 that's nice that's nice a nice warm up
16:50 which doesn't make any sense it's kind
16:52 of like that hot cup of ice so we'll
16:54 give my to ice nightmare masks type
16:56 exclamation mask if you're in this court
16:59 or twitch and we will pick that
17:02 and these guys are gonna actually help
17:04 me remember not to forget one of these
17:07 other prizes later because I've done
17:08 that before I've walked off camera and
17:10 like okay we're done my promises so
17:14 they're gonna help me on that meanwhile
17:16 we showed one video we'll show the next
17:18 later let's get into the map system two
17:21 wants to kick off what this one oh sure
17:24 oh well so from my perspective you know
17:28 I've been handling the map system you
17:30 know you like the tool that these guys
17:32 have made for us so you know going into
17:35 this Oh though with the acquisition of
17:37 soda map you know it was pretty much
17:40 kind of going in and just trying to find
17:42 a process of replicating the Jacobs
17:44 White's work and so you know it's up to
17:48 Travis and myself and Chris to kind of
17:50 see okay how are we gonna recreate the
17:52 style that he's doing with the maps and
17:55 as we started doing that process there's
17:57 initial few days you know we found that
17:59 we needed to have a better process for
18:01 taking overhead views we wanted to have
18:05 a consistent size in terms of the
18:08 resolution of the map and we wanted to
18:11 have you know just an overall like
18:13 streamlined process as to how we were
18:16 gonna layer these yeah most of most of
18:21 these things are hands dialyze it is the
18:23 like the system is I understand how the
18:26 map system worked there's there's layers
18:28 like you said and you said first I think
18:31 it's the second thing to take an
18:33 overhead of rain does the land the area
18:36 and we can do that with our tools right
18:39 to zoom at where the community can right
18:41 but we weren't sure exactly like how to
18:44 keep the consistency throughout
18:46 different sizes of that oh right so like
18:48 you know like this one map I'm this far
18:51 up and then I kind of well you know
18:53 exactly yeah and then we have maps there
18:56 about a square clamber by square
18:57 kilometer and then we have maps there
18:59 about you know half a square kilometer
19:00 about half a square kilometer so right
19:03 how do you get that consistent and so
19:05 those were the things that you know we
19:07 kind of brought up to hutch and you know
19:10 how can we make this easier for us if
19:12 we're going to be making the
19:13 you know moving forward for new maps and
19:16 at the same time going back and altering
19:20 existing maps because you know like for
19:23 example if we add I don't know a couple
19:26 more buildings to a map or you know we
19:29 change up the terrain and if the
19:32 required dimensions to actually change
19:35 no but you know just going back and we
19:38 would have to edit that map don't know
19:42 if you have to if this if we have the
19:44 editor map like that does do you guys
19:46 get involved or is it pretty much like a
19:48 one-off handoff like I'm done yeah well
19:51 the process for updating maps is pretty
19:53 extensive because we have to take the
19:56 image that the world builders create and
19:59 essentially break it down into five
20:02 different resolutions in a bunch of
20:04 different tiles so each zoom level has
20:06 its own set of tiles that make up the
20:09 entire map so that's all automated as
20:12 well as you know making sure that that's
20:14 small and can load fast so we actually
20:17 reduce the amount of colors to only 32
20:20 colors in the entire thing in order for
20:22 it to load faster well or yeah I don't
20:26 know I think 253 yeah I said something
20:29 was pretty high but yeah so the thing I
20:31 assume then increases the size of the
20:33 files everything well yeah exactly we
20:35 want we want the files to be fast
20:38 because that was one of the problems
20:40 with the original soda map was that it
20:43 was actually hosted in Poland I think so
20:46 it was just serving the images was slow
20:48 so smaller images means faster serving
20:50 and for you guys the community they'll
20:54 see it snappy yeah faster yes yeah
20:58 awesome do you had some things you
21:01 wanted to show oh sure amen well I think
21:04 there was an image of yeah I was
21:06 actually gonna show one of the latest
21:09 original map sets come from us which is
21:12 the Blood River outskirts map so you
21:14 know going into this stars priority was
21:17 to start with the outskirts oh because
21:20 those are you know some of the first
21:22 maps that the player gets to see so for
21:25 that reason we wanted to have
21:26 you know in game apps as soon as
21:28 possible and now so yeah in my case I
21:32 was in charge of doing the world
21:34 building for Blood River outskirts
21:36 but Travis worked on sawdust Bridge
21:38 outskirts and Seawolf worked on high
21:42 bail outskirts recording all the game no
21:45 we're just gonna get his browser
21:46 oh goodness own map yeah yeah the
21:50 showcase
21:51 yeah I'm the top one that's invisible
21:55 okay then I enable the spawn transition
21:59 okay we are transitioning people here we
22:01 go there it is so yes that's one of the
22:05 first maps that we've done so far and
22:09 actually this map you know we kind of
22:12 just this was the first one this was a
22:16 lot of getting the feel for it and yeah
22:23 it was a lot of just getting the overall
22:24 feel of how are we gonna tackle this and
22:26 I understand you guys had to do a
22:28 process yeah we can talk about that in a
22:31 second basically how we got to this yeah
22:37 yeah but in terms of the art side yeah
22:43 what I basically do is I take five
22:46 overhead screenshots in engine so I like
22:49 to have the terrain just by itself and
22:53 then another one with the foliage
22:55 another one for rocks another one for
22:58 props and then maybe another one for any
23:01 special custom aspects for the map so I
23:06 take these five overhead screenshots and
23:08 I bring those into Photoshop now in
23:11 Photoshop that's right I use these
23:13 screenshots that I just took in engine
23:15 to kind of just like use them as a base
23:20 reference and start you know doing the
23:23 stylized drawing of the map itself so
23:27 yeah that's kind of how it goes for
23:29 example all those cliffs that are now
23:31 drawn on sodor map they were based off
23:33 the actual overhead screenshot that was
23:36 taken in it we have a question here
23:38 actually you answered
23:40 Oh was it for you shrink the search bar
23:44 at the top it doesn't need to be that
23:47 big does it you know that's a good
23:50 question
23:51 I'll put it in a JIRA for it but you can
23:53 always just zoom out
23:57 well there you go what are you doing -
23:58 plus ya control - we'll just make it
24:01 work now you're not sure if that what
24:04 the zoom is at here 75 now it's it's big
24:09 enough we get Auto suggestions as well
24:11 so that's part of it
24:15 yeah so you know going into Photoshop we
24:19 just recreate all the cliffs the trees
24:22 for the most part Jacob why had an
24:25 interesting way of doing the roads if he
24:29 would actually kind of like put all
24:31 these points down utilizing the pen tool
24:33 then he would run these actions within
24:35 Photoshop that would automatically
24:37 generate all these roads and paths and
24:39 that's we continue doing that and then
24:42 as far as points of interest you know we
24:45 could go a little bit further north you
24:47 know and focus on like the cat the camp
24:51 the oven camp so being that we are
24:55 taking overhead screenshots you know
24:57 that allows us to get a lot more detail
24:59 then fabious maps so for example here
25:04 you see you know some brewing and some
25:07 tans scattered about so yeah being that
25:10 we have a whole library of assets you
25:13 know we have all the player houses we
25:15 have all these things we can put you
25:18 know more detail in there yeah it's
25:20 really gonna be great for a reference to
25:22 one of the things that we're trying to
25:24 improve is the awareness of where things
25:29 are in the game to make it easier for
25:30 people especially so you don't have to
25:32 zone all the time guessing like is there
25:35 something in this town and that's what
25:38 this map system will help with yeah so
25:40 and I think I don't know if we got to it
25:42 or if we want to get to it but
25:43 eventually the community being able to
25:47 submit to us I think or control for
25:52 their player towns any you know okay so
25:55 I'm getting ahead of myself
25:56 I'm so excited with its about like I'm
25:58 all of us yeah well you are yeah yeah
26:02 okay well go in the order you guys want
26:05 to this is your show I can show real
26:07 quick about how basically the overhead
26:09 shots happen talk a little bit about why
26:11 they need to be consistent what we can
26:15 switch it to the editor
26:19 oh yeah we have unity up there and I
26:20 think that oh I'll be right over
26:24 and then I know this is the river
26:29 outskirts might not be if we can load
26:31 that sure oh yeah it is always that I
26:38 like I have two members like novia r7
26:42 underscore fours don't want to harden
26:47 yeah so just to talk a little bit about
26:49 it essentially in our game we're using a
26:52 Cartesian coordinate system which means
26:54 it's basic XY coordinates for the player
26:57 position and obviously there's a height
26:59 component as well but the mapping system
27:02 online is basically the plugin that was
27:06 it was built for was assuming geographic
27:10 like longitude latitude like basically
27:12 on the surface of a sphere
27:15 okay cool so one of the things that's
27:18 really kind of tricky is taking those
27:20 Cartesian coordinates and then basically
27:22 converting to a system it's called a
27:25 spherical Mercator projection to
27:28 actually get the coordinates from the XY
27:32 to function properly as a latitude and
27:35 longitude yeah there might be but so one
27:42 of the things is there's there's
27:43 basically a scaling factor left right
27:45 and up down that says okay you know you
27:47 have this range of plus 90 degrees to
27:51 negative 90 degrees you can think of
27:52 that going to the North Pole in the
27:54 South Pole for each one of these maps
27:55 then we have to say okay how large is
27:57 this thing compared to you know and we
27:59 have to do some manual tweaking to make
28:02 sure the Avatar position lines up

28:05 things we said okay if we standardize
28:07 this across all our maps then we only
28:09 have to have three different tweaking
28:11 Zoar X number of tweaking x' and we
28:14 don't have to worry about it
28:16 so what I did is I wrote a little tool
28:18 that essentially is already preset for
28:21 the world builders where they can come
28:23 in here and actually let's see here
28:27 where's the camera oh it's under global
28:34 there we go so if I click on this camera
28:36 rig here I've added these little buttons
28:37 basically that's a small map media map
28:39 and large map and if I click on one of
28:41 these what its gonna do is it's actually
28:43 gonna create a brand new camera in the
28:44 scene I'm gonna switch to it it's gonna
28:47 call out some things and actually going
28:48 to take a screenshot of the entire scene
28:51 from an overhead perspective at a
28:53 specific size and what the world builder
28:56 can then do is you can make tweaks to
28:57 that camera and change things so let me
29:02 show you what that looks like
29:06 map camera here it is so if I enable
29:09 this map camera you see we have this
29:12 overhead view and for this particular
29:15 one we actually it's a little offset so
29:18 we actually end up having to change the
29:19 size so those other buttons I showed you
29:21 before are kind of standardized and they
29:24 have this size set but I can set it
29:26 manually now so you can kind of see well
29:29 this is something called an orthographic
29:31 view point that it doesn't matter how
29:34 high it is above the ground all that
29:36 matters is the size like I'm getting
29:39 eaten right now so I'm gonna mute the
29:40 audio yeah so so essentially you know
29:44 those different buttons changed the size
29:47 and as you see as I reduce this size it
29:50 basically zooms me into the map and what
29:52 we've done is standardized the size at
29:55 which these pictures are taken and these
29:57 pictures they can then is this link to
30:00 like the pictures folder can I show one
30:02 of these pictures yeah sure I'll show
30:05 you guys a quick image that I took just
30:08 so you can see what one of these looks
30:11 like yeah so how would I just go up move
30:15 it up there and then max it out there

31:42 following how many developers does it
31:44 take to change a light bulb yes many
31:46 times anyway but you can see this is a
31:48 sample image that you know esteban might
31:50 take into Photoshop and he would take
31:52 this in and actually start basically use
31:55 this as a background and trace over it
31:56 and you can you know paint the lines or
31:59 paint the rocks or something like that
32:00 and it's it's basically a crude image
32:02 but it gives a representation of you
32:05 know the exact layout and how we want it
32:06 to look and since it's a fixed size what
32:09 happens is we can then take that upload
32:11 it to the actual web and not have to
32:13 worry about doing all these coordinate
32:15 transforms and things like that
32:16 so alright guys just in we've got two

34:01 to let's say if you own a player on town
34:04 you would have the ability to modify
34:07 that if you you know let Jacob know in
34:10 addition you could add your own personal
34:13 points of interests on the map so that
34:17 they would only load for you essentially
34:19 and so what we've done is we added a lot
34:21 of this back in addition and we that in
34:24 a new map that should be around here I
34:28 know where hi lol skirts is high bail
34:31 out skirts so we can just preview that
34:32 real fast we'll just use this as an
34:35 example of kind of how someone with def
34:39 hours can edit the map now so before we
34:42 brought this back rock eric is my dev
34:45 counts this is all hooked up to shroud
34:48 of the avatar calm so you login with
34:51 your actual forum account or your
34:53 account same way you would with the
34:55 forums and that'll bring you to my
34:57 account log out everything like that
34:59 these are debug messages so just so what
35:03 we do is we start editing this map and
35:05 we get a bunch of options over here and
35:07 so these are the same options as if I
35:09 owned this map so people who actually
35:12 own player own towns will be able to
35:15 have these options and that's going to
35:17 be automatically hooked up to their
35:20 account so there's no more asking Jacob
35:23 to associate your account with your P ot
35:26 and as that moves forward we don't have
35:30 all of the tools yet but we will
35:32 with the peyote process be able to get
35:35 dan who does all that work to also
35:38 change your map in or your Quixote in
35:43 the maps as well so you know if your
35:45 biome changes or something along those
35:47 lines then we can update that and
35:49 reflect here so this is you know a bunch
35:55 of different tools and maybe actually I
35:56 should go to go back to our overworld
35:59 map and look at it Pio T because this
36:01 would be the how you look at it in
36:05 Opticon someone has a quick reminder for
36:08 everybody this map system is accessible
36:12 now right where do you go for its a
36:14 shroud of the avatar comm slashing map
36:16 so we have a bunch of things in in
36:19 progress and as you see all these
36:22 village slots are a little bit offset
36:24 that's so again we're retooling this and
36:28 we're trying to hook up all of the game
36:30 data that we can so as we move forward
36:33 you're going to see a lot more data in
36:35 game and not on the website and also
36:37 these lots for example in the lot
36:39 ownership is going to be automatically
36:41 populated as you see here this is
36:46 automatically populated but it's very
36:48 wrong looks like it's rotated 90 degrees
36:50 or yes so this this comes back to all
36:52 those coordinate transforms well what
36:53 I'm actually doing is I'm going through
36:55 each lot or hpod actually in scrubbing
36:58 where the lots are and saving that
37:00 positional data to save the work of the
37:03 pot owner from having to go place those
37:04 manually so we're gonna all actually be
37:07 placed on your pot automatically and
37:10 there's some other cool features that
37:11 we'll be able to do as well such as
37:13 populating areas of interest and things
37:15 like that that pop up on your compass
37:17 we're also couple under map something
37:19 I've recently got word there's a lot of
37:21 stuff we can do
37:27 yeah and so this is the functionality
37:30 that you guys had before the only
37:33 difference really is that we removed
37:35 your ability to teach Lots so what the
37:39 lots are going to be driven so right now
37:40 when this goes live it's not going to
37:43 look bad like this but the lots will not
37:47 be able to be manually updated it's
37:49 gonna be pulled from the game but these
37:51 things like any labels that you have and
37:54 this is in public data I'm sorry Sean
37:56 but if I'm messing up your town but it
37:59 is not it's only on my server so don't
38:02 worry about it but this is a great
38:03 example of a town owner who's really
38:06 gone above and beyond to keep this up to
38:10 date and so we really want to enable
38:11 those people so that when someone comes
38:13 to a P OTE they can see oh well you know
38:17 it was updated recently and like a look
38:19 at where all these cool things are we
38:21 want to you know have a hybrid approach
38:23 where some of that stuff comes from the
38:25 game
38:25 it's authoritative and you don't have to
38:27 worry about updating it and the other
38:29 stuff you can go nuts so I'm going to
38:33 show you one last thing and this was a
38:35 big request so this is kind of like how
38:40 the workflow goes and I'm gonna sign in
38:44 with my normal my Kiku starfish account
38:50 so this is a non dev account so let's
38:52 say that I want to put some notes on my
38:55 map here I'm gonna go ahead and turn the
38:59 edit mode on and it's going to tell me
39:00 that I don't own this map so then the
39:03 marks that I'm making are not going to
39:05 persist for anyone except for me that
39:06 being said I have all these options to
39:09 insert something into my PLI layer which
39:13 is my points of interest guys if you
39:15 have any questions for anybody else just
39:18 ask him in chat twitch or discord and
39:20 yeah loose Kimber saying that she wishes
39:23 that she could put hers in again I
39:26 mentioned earlier we're gonna have part
39:29 of this change is enabling all the devs
39:31 to add player own towns and stuff like
39:34 that so we'll definitely get a
39:36 submission process going to miss
39:38 the mist to get any mist player on towns
39:42 on the actual map I know you know this
39:45 area in particular isn't necessarily
39:47 up-to-date so please if that's if you
39:50 guys are seeing things missing on the
39:52 map make sure to open a bug for it
39:55 because we do have a huge list of stuff
39:58 to do but we just want to make sure we
40:00 have everything on that list so here I'm

40:06 gonna add it to the pallidus chart false
40:08 because I'm role-playing that you know I
40:11 live in the shortfalls and so this is
40:14 going to be home sweet home and then I'm
40:18 gonna say right under that big shard in
40:23 the middle yeah so this is my personal
40:28 Pio I this is only going to show up for
40:30 me and so when whenever I load this map
40:33 right now this stuff is not available in
40:37 game so you can't actually type into the
40:41 browser
40:42 in what we're gonna do moving forward is
40:45 automatically log you in when you log
40:48 into the game so what will happen is you
40:51 just open your map and all of your stuff
40:53 will automatically be there populated so
40:55 you won't actually have to login in game
40:57 or do anything like that and so these
41:00 are you can do them pretty much wherever
41:02 you want little rifts in I really messed
41:07 up rifts in a lot too because I've been
41:08 testing here again you can see all these
41:11 lots down bottom this is a working
41:14 furnace yeah very big work in progress
41:17 but you know my house is right here so
41:21 I'm going to add a Pio I we've also made
41:24 some recent changes to rotations of the
41:27 game yeah it's previously the arrow in
41:31 you know dictating the direction of your
41:33 avatar and the game was dictated from a
41:36 file a web server somewhere and it was
41:38 kind of a pain in the neck update
41:40 recently that has been changed to
41:42 actually be dynamic and with the zone so
41:44 there's some Corrections we have to make
41:47 likely have to make going back to make
41:49 sure you know
41:49 if you see yourself walking backwards on
41:51 a map or something like that within the
41:52 next few days those likely need to get
41:55 fixed feel free to bring those to our

43:09 based on they actually have to discover
43:12 these locations
43:15 yeah we've got a lot of cool abilities
43:18 now that we kind of have full ownership
43:21 where Bobby can you know add things to
43:25 the map that you wouldn't get on the
43:27 website so example would be yet NPC's
43:31 quest points of interests or you know
43:37 ideally maybe in the future party
43:39 members I keep on pushing that well yeah
43:41 absolutely need I think it's yep and so
43:48 it's great ideas and I think it'll be
43:51 yeah and the one thing that we have as a
43:54 major blocker for maps is the
43:57 incompatibility on
43:59 so I am a big Linux user so that kind of
44:03 bothers me because I can't really test
44:05 on my on my client yeah yeah just like
44:11 going down the hall yeah so you know
44:16 that's that's another really big
44:18 priority for us we need that in order
44:20 for this to be an appropriate solution
44:22 across the board for launch and you know
44:26 I we've been listening closely to you
44:29 guys what you guys have to say about
44:31 maps in the forum so I'm discord
44:33 everything else so but us oh this one
44:45 that was close so yeah we've been
44:50 listening to you guys so if you have any

48:24 you talked to the undertaker and he'll
48:26 let you in so all you do is run over hop
48:30 in the door and get another load screen
48:34 so now we're actually in the male's
48:36 dungeon is it work your way down you
48:42 first encounter some spiders it is kind
48:45 of a large group so try not to pull all
48:46 of them here is the first note that you
48:49 will need later to get through the
48:51 barrier this one's 1972 there'll be four
48:54 papers total that I'll show you where
48:56 all of them are
49:01 so here I'm just gonna take out these
49:03 spiders I could get through if you're
49:06 like me I do have a lot of points
49:08 invested in dr. to MIT and this is a
49:12 primarily skeleton dungeon so it does
49:15 not work very well here so this does
49:18 take me a little bit longer than some
49:20 other type of monsters here in this
49:23 video I'm an adventurer level of 71 and
49:26 I can get through pretty easily so if
49:28 you're around there you shouldn't have a
49:29 problem I will tell you now that if you
49:46 start this dungeon and you're picked up
49:49 to pieces and your client crashes or you
49:52 get deseed you will have to lead all the
49:54 items and restart from the beginning
49:56 otherwise they'll just keep bugging out
49:59 and won't let you through the barrier
50:00 even after you pick everything up so my
50:03 chance a little bit different than yours
50:05 would be because I already finish this
50:06 quest but you mind come over to talk to
50:08 Samuel oh then you talked to Mariel and
50:11 basically they just explained why what's
50:13 going on in this dungeon

50:27 and we're doing live streams and I just
50:31 got done DJ it was exciting it was

51:04 haven't had a chance to play it please
51:06 do because it's great especially with
51:10 the latest patch frame rates better
51:13 speak because we know we did the dance

51:18 worst case scenario the most people in
51:21 the most compact space everybody like
51:24 doing their favorite emotes of like
51:26 breathing fire and juggling and doing
51:29 the meteor storm and things like that so
51:32 frame rate isn't awesome but it was the
51:36 best that it's ever been and that's
51:38 because of all the performance
51:39 optimizations we've been doing and of
51:41 course more things in our 49 story
51:43 polish we've got more side quests you
51:46 know and again the plan is to slowly
51:47 expand the side quests to get everything
51:51 in there so as you're going down the
51:53 path of truth love and courage you know
51:56 you can take those side quests to level
51:59 up your character so you're staying
52:00 strong as you're going through there and
52:02 part of those side quests are we're
52:05 slowly adding those side quests where
52:06 you can get all those cool truth love
52:08 and courage armor pieces this release we
52:12 added the gloved ones we added some
52:14 improvements to the conversation so now
52:16 the NPC's if you say different things
52:18 they're not just gonna say I don't know
52:19 we're gonna try and guide you back to
52:21 the things they do want to talk about so
52:23 they'll say well I'm not sure what you
52:26 were talking about but I'd really like
52:28 to talk about you know that undead are
52:29 that's coming over there you know we did
52:32 some more polish on Blood River and IV
52:33 outskirts we got to new scenes lesia
52:37 mines in East long fall wetland and
52:39 apparently we finally got it right with
52:42 a mine this time I think that was the
52:44 posts that I've seen that we finally did
52:47 it right we finally did a mine right so
52:49 yay for us we did some more MPC behavior
52:54 polish and additions so dragons are a
52:57 little more challenging to fight so
52:59 again that's one of our top 10
53:00 priorities is improving MPC behaviors
53:03 and so you're gonna see that every
53:04 release of us just do a little more a
53:05 little more to make them better and like
53:09 I said more virtue armor oh we got a
53:10 bunch of new recipes and patterns
53:12 including in-game versions of winter
53:16 stuff and make a difference things
53:18 similar UI polish you guys were getting
53:21 some sneak peaks on the map stuff that
53:23 these guys are working on it's so
53:24 exciting I can't wait to see like quest
53:26 step on the map it's kind of the whole
53:28 point on the map right map should help
53:29 you with your quest
53:31 let's see combat balance new decorations
53:35 the clock towers if you haven't seen the
53:36 clock towers they're awesome I saw some
53:38 money doing their best mcfly impression
53:42 I think they said they had climbed up in
53:43 the town we're actually giving away an
53:45 ornate wood street signs so for those of
53:48 you with towns
53:50 you can now label all your streets and
53:52 your towns I know some people are super
53:54 excited about that and crown merchants
53:55 so our goal is to get everything that's
53:58 on the store inside the game so you can
54:00 buy with crowns and we're well on our
54:02 way for that so those are in the game
54:05 and now you can start buying almost I
54:08 think not quite everything but it's
54:09 getting close so the crown merchants are
54:12 in the game and of course our 47 telefon
54:14 and man if you haven't seen that
54:17 snowflake cloak that Fletcher did it's
54:21 gorgeous and the but ice bow and the ice
54:27 staff they've got a bug right now with
54:29 the little birdie symbol on it just kind
54:31 of looks stuck on there
54:33 Fletcher's fixing that it should be
54:35 going in more than a patch really soon
54:37 and then audio polishing PSX polished so
54:39 our 49 was huge so just for reference
54:41 you know we do a page
54:43 count on how big each release is and
54:45 usually the average you need somewhere
54:47 between 13 and 15 pages and this one
54:50 look like 18 pages long so it's
54:51 literally one of our biggest releases
54:53 ever despite being a short release so
54:55 I'm not sure what my team is doing but
54:58 they're getting faster so they're
55:01 awesome and so I've told them there I'm
55:03 only going to give them three hours to
55:05 do the next release since they they work
55:07 faster when I give them time down so so

55:25 schedule got posted so you if you

55:37 is our launch candidate and we pretty
55:41 much believe that that's gonna be our
55:42 launch version and what does the launch
55:43 mean launch means that we are going to
55:47 move out of early access that means

55:54 corner and that's not going to be there
55:56 anymore and we're gonna move out of
55:58 early access on Steam and we're gonna
56:00 start marketing so we can grow our
56:01 community and we can start you know like
56:03 the signal fires and start getting
56:05 people in the game more so we're gonna
56:07 get out of you know sort of pseudo
56:10 stealth mode so we're super super
56:11 excited by that and that's in March so
56:14 very much and so Q one's got a lot of
56:16 cool stuff in it more performance
56:18 improvement more story polish more side
56:21 quests physical goods so cloth map
56:25 Scotty's been working super hard on that
56:27 you guys got to see that in the last
56:28 tell upon the work you've been doing on
56:30 that and don't forget to update your
56:31 mailing address on the website we have
56:33 notices all throughout the website we
56:35 need your accurate shipping address to
56:38 ship you those things and we're gonna
56:41 have a new creature wild boar it looks
56:44 really cool and we're going to be doing
56:46 polish on all of
56:49 animals so wolves and bears and those
56:52 guys
56:53 we know they they don't look great so
56:56 we're polishing all those guys they're
56:57 gonna look awesome I and all the
56:59 associated gear with with them so wolf
57:02 hat and a bear hat and the trophies all
57:04 those are getting visual upgrades in q1
57:07 and of course
57:09 oh and heraldry so finally we're going
57:12 to get to heraldry so we're gonna be
57:13 working with the College of alarms and
57:14 those guys so you're gonna be able to
57:16 work with them to get a your crest made
57:19 we're going to be able to connect that
57:20 to your account and show that on the
57:22 game on a Tabard
57:24 so there'll be custom that will be
57:26 custom pieces of gear for each of the
57:27 armor type and a triangle shield and a
57:30 banner and names on tombstones and in
57:33 the credits and in the Domesday book

58:30 retired but we replaced them with really
58:32 cool stuff so the two-week Head Start is
58:35 going to be replaced with a replenishing
58:37 box of obsidian training accelerator
58:40 potions so basically those are a way for
58:42 you to drink a potion and it's going to
58:45 take your old experience and it's going
58:48 to accelerate how fast your skills go up
58:51 using that old experience now
58:55 be sure we're clear on that it's not
58:56 gonna make you get more experience it's
58:59 just gonna accelerate how much you use
59:01 out of it how fast you're using it out
59:03 of the pool so just want to make that

59:06 you're not gonna gain experience faster

61:31 had an antique shop in Baton Rouge
61:34 Louisiana and right now we can see this
61:36 is what the actual antique shop looks
61:38 like well his father passed away a
61:43 couple years ago but back in the day
61:46 this was stars father Carey Long's
61:50 antique shop and so I was tasked with
61:52 bringing that into central Brittany so
61:56 uh and then let's go into the game unit

62:13 contest in Stars DJ set so he was DJing
62:16 from 2:00 to 4:00 you know for the dance

63:55 from the window the way the windows look
63:57 to the exact layout within the actual
64:01 antique shop so I sat down with star in
64:03 this exact same room and he told me
64:05 where the counter was you know kind of
64:08 how the antiques were laid out here in
64:18 the back you know have a kitchen just as
64:21 the actual antique shop had and a
64:24 workshop down to a courtyard with
64:28 flowers and gardens and statues and even
64:31 a syrup kettle well it's his name but it
64:36 was actually filled with a goldfish but
64:43 yeah pretty nice dad we get to do things
64:47 like this in shadow the avatar where you
64:49 know you know there's there's a little
64:52 bit more of a meaning to the stuff that
64:54 we put in the game and I'm pretty
64:56 grateful I got the opportunity to make a
64:59 version in the game of stars dad antique
65:02 shop yeah that's really amazing and it
65:04 laid out he just even though you need
65:06 items within it say yeah I recreated
65:10 everything he kind of sketched out for
65:12 me and you know the way the windows look
65:14 and stay right there so we can give the
65:17 viewers a low chair and forth so there's
65:20 the one in game and there's the one the
65:24 actual future yes
