Fomorian

Fomorian refers to creatures reshaped by the Cabal of Obsidians in their facilities beneath Desolis known as The Epitaph.

The remains of this facility, currently has evidence to three creatures reshaped with the Cabal of Obsidians magic: Elves, Satyr and Troll creatures.

Faun creatures are also known to have been created by the Cabal of Obsidians, but are not present in this facility.

The elves are a constructed species, like many that threaten mankind in Novia. Ages past, the Obsidian sorcerers crafted the elves as foot soldiers in their wars of conquest. We managed to defeat them, at great loss, but the elves remain. Some choose to live in peace, like the ones from this village. Others, known as Obsidian Elves, did not. They never seemed to get over their original programming to cause chaos and murder. It is often difficult to know which is which.
The satyrs are another race constructed by the Obsidian sorcerers. They once served as officers leading the Obsidian armies. We defeated them centuries ago, but those that remain are often hostile when found in the wilderness. I heard that they built their own city where they live in peace with humans, but I am suspicious.

Trivia

• In Blade of the Avatar it is known that Faun creatures were created by transformational magics by the Cabal of Obsidians and used with their armies and operations. In the novel, Syenna claims Faun creatures were made from transformational magics on humans, however, she may have been mistaken, as no laboratory of the reshapers have been discovered yet currently in New Britannia, that have evidence they were created in such facilities from humans.
• And always the Fomorians, remnants from the Dark Armies of wars past threaten; from their strongholds in Blackblade Pass they often strike looking for prey.
