Michael Bayler
Michael Bayler is NPC Hyla's father. He is deceased when you learn about him Hyla and she gives you the quest.
Two guards at the monastery will address his location Guard Louie, and Guard Able Hagglestaff. Their information will guide you to the south-west pin that appears when the quest is accepted. There is pin placed in the middle portion of the map where the town is. This will lead you to a mirror that will port you to Michael's body that is located just outside of the shack where he perished. The ghost animation will not speak to you.
The target item needed to complete the quest is on the floor to the left of the door as you enter. It is NOT in a container; it is on the floor in the world. It is a letter and will identify itself when you hover as a letter to Hyla. (something similar.) Put it in your inventory and the quest will update in your journal.
Take the Letter back to Hyla at the monastery.
