Scrolls of Merkin
The Scrolls of Merkin were written by their namesake over one hundred years after the Cataclysm. They contain the most complete collection of details on how sorcerers, wizards and conjurors functioned in the days before the Fall. Unfortunately, the magic described no longer works the way it once did; the shattering of Daedalus and the fall of the Shards ended the way magic was once practiced. New magic sprang from the world, but it is wild, untamed, and works completely differently on a fundamental level. Few principles are the same between the two methods of magic.
