The ghostly echo finally spoke to me! I learned it's a remnant repeating the last moments of a particular soldier's life. It was cryptic, but I gleaned that Captain Burnes is forced to serve the geistesser, but that bond can be broken. I'll need to defeat the demon on its unhallowed ground and extract its skull. Not a task for the weak hearted, indeed. The ghostly echo gave me a shard of its essence to help me pass, presumably, through a portal that leads to the geistesser. The echo said I should seek out Esmeralda so she can attune the shard to me.
Tip[edit]
- Speak to Esmeralda and then click the sever the bonds keyword. This will complete this quest.
- Speak to Esmeralda and manually type the words final step. This will give you the the next step, Get the Geistesser's Skull quest.
