Ardoris/Black Turtle

The Ardoris guard serve and protect the entire shogunate, but operate out of Ardoris. They are led by Guard Captain Cugel, who has divided the guard into five corps:
Beliefs[edit]
The Black Turtle are the elite military members who are sworn loyal to Shogun Siranto. They are the first sent into dangerous situations and combat situations, such as the Battle of Solace Bridge. Their ferocity in battle is matched only by the intensity of their loyalty. They devote themselves to the concept of fidelity. Officially they are led by Rian Jordan, the humble warrior. While he leads well through action, his humility holds him back somewhat as a leader. Barry Mills is an experienced veteran of the guard who lost out as a finalist for the Captain of the Guard job. He is vocal and opinionated, which makes him an unofficial leader of the corps as well.

- Exam - dealing with PTSD but doesn't know it. In the community gardens
- Geoffrey Pledger - Fanatic traditionalist who doesn't like the water or fish
- Giles Borne - new lease on life after near-death
- Jane Windsel - urban and maternal - watches over Keirnon
- Jossa - misses her old patrol along the Perennial Trail
- Mason - has survivor's guilt about his sister - in the graveyard
- Rian Jordan - best combatant but humble - prefers to talk about everyone else
- Rolf - like violence a bit too much
