Friends are players that you have added to your Friends List.

The Friends List can be displayed by opening the "Social" window (press "F" on the keyboard or click the window selector icon in the upper right of the game window and select "Social"). If it is not already selected, click on the "Friends" tab in the "Social" window.

Friends who are logged-in to the game will be listed in white text. For friends who are logged-in, the location column will display one of the following:

  • The zone/scene the Friend is currently in - the location will only show if the friend has chosen to "Share Location with Friends".
  • Blank - if the friend has chosen not to "Share Location with Friends", then the location will be blank.
See "Share Location with Friends" section below for details.

Friends that are not logged-in to the game will show a location of "Offline" and their names will be in grey text.

Meaning of the Text Color on the Friends List[edit]

The colors of the names on your friends list are defined as follows:

  • White - player who has accepted your friends request and is logged-in to the game.
  • Grey - player who has accepted your friends request and is not logged-in to the game.
  • Yellow - player who has not yet accepted your friends request (see below)
  • Green - player who has sent you a friends request (but you have not accepted it yet).

Sending a Friends Request[edit]

You can request that a player be your friend by using one of the following methods:

  • Open the Friends List, and type the name of the player in the text box at the bottom of the window, then click "Add Friend".
  • Right-click on the player's name in any window or right-click directly on the player, and then select "add friend" from the menu that pops up.

When you have added a friend request (but the player has not accepted that request) the player's name will appear at the bottom of your friends list (or at the top depending on how you chose to sort your friends) and their name will appear in yellow text. For players that have accepted your friends request, their name appears white (if they are logged-in to the game) or grey (if they are not logged-in).

Accepting/Rejecting a Friends Request[edit]

When a player sends you a friends request, their name will show up on your friends list in green text (and a "friends request" icon will appear in the upper right of the game window). To accept the request, select the player's name and then click the green check mark at the bottom right of the social window, or right-click on the player's name and select "Add Friend" on the menu that pops up. To reject the request, select the player's name and then click on the red "X" at the bottom right of the social window.

Removing a Friend[edit]

You can remove a friend using one of the following methods:

  • Open the Friends List, and select the name of the player from the Friends list, then click "Unfriend".
  • Right-click on the player's name in any window or right-click directly on the player, and then select "Remove Friend" from the menu that pops up.

If necessary, you can Block a player (which will only prevent their messages from showing up in the chat window) and/or you can Ban a player from your house, basement, and dungeon.

Share Location With Friends[edit]

To set "Share Location with Friends", click the "Options" icon in the upper right of the game window, then click the "Multiplayer" tab, and select or deselect the "Share Location with Fiends" check box.

When this option is enabled, your current location (i.e. the scene name) will be visible to your friends when they view their Friends List or use a Teleport to Friend Scroll.

If this option is disabled, your current location will be hidden from friends (your location will show as blank).

Note: when you are in a party, your current location will be visible to other members of the party regardless of whether they are friends and regardless the of "Share Location With Friends" setting.
