This page refers to the Wishing Well that can be placed as deco in a Player Owned Town. For the Wishing Well in an adventure scene or NPC town, see Wishing Well (Scene). For details on the function and appearance of all well types, see the Well page.
Wishing Well in a Player Owned Town
Not only does this magical Wishing Well look stylish in your yard, but when you throw coins in it there is a random chance that you will receive something in return! And as an added bonus, wearing the Water Magic Cloak increases your chance to receive an item from the Wishing Well. You can also increase your chances of getting a reward by equipping a Ring of Luck and/or a Ring of Luck, Greater (note: you can equip 2 rings at a time).
(NOTE: You will need a Property to place this item in-game)
Function of the Wishing Well:
- 1) Left click on them - When you left click on a wishing well, you will always receive one Bucket of Water. Also, there a small chance it will give you the Pattern: Water Well Dungeon Entrance.
- 2) Right click on them - When a wishing well in a Player Owned Town is right-clicked, it may display the "examine" menu (When wishing wells are not located on a lot, they apparently only show the "examine menu" for stewards and governors of the player owned town. When the well is located on a lot, access to the well may depend on the permissions settings on the well and/or on the lot). If the "examine" menu appears and if you click examine, you will be asked if you want to toss a coin in the well. If you toss a coin in the well, you have a chance to receive a randomly selected reward (such as a book or fireworks). You can increase your chances of getting a reward by equipping the following items: Ring of Luck, Ring of Luck, Greater, and/or Water Magic Cloak (note: you can equip 2 rings at a time). If you do not get a reward from the well, there is no "cool down" and you can immediately toss another coin in the well to try for a reward. If you get a reward from the well, there is a one week cooldown before you can toss another coin in the well (during this "cooldown", examining the well will show a chat message that "The item (wishing well) does not seem to do anything" and you will not be given the option to toss a coin in the well). You have to wait for the "cool down" to go away before you can toss in another coin.
