A Welcome Basket is a bundle of simple items that the Hospitallers can create and provide to new players. Hospitallers are not obligated to hand out welcome baskets. While it is a nice gesture, this is completely optional.
Contents[edit]
Welcome basket contains very simple, low cost items, to "welcome" the player to Novia. The Welcome Basket is not a starter kit that might contain resources, reagents, tools, etc. to give new players an advantage over other players.
The suggested contents of the Welcome Basket include:
- Hospitaller book
- Potted Plant
- Fish, fruit, bread (2 or 3 items)
- Bowl of some soup
- Mug
- Torches (2)
- all this is contained in some container
Producing baskets[edit]
- People may make welcome baskets with the suggested or other contents as desired.
- Teams may work together and stockpile baskets, storing them wherever is convenient for their team.
Handing out baskets[edit]
Welcome baskets may be given out by any Hospitaller to any other player. Suggestions:
- Ask the player if they already received a welcome basket. If not, then give them one.
- Bring welcome baskets to events and hand out to others as you desire.
- Hospitallers are not obligated to hand out welcome baskets. While it is a nice gesture, this is completely optional.
