I'm considering telling Captain Burnes that the geistesser is defeated and his soul is freed. He may have believed selling his soul to save civilians was a courageous and bold move, but it cost the lives of many soldiers that reported to him. If Burnes has the courage he believes he does, he'll see his wrongs and will step down as commander, hopefully putting Leftenant Simone in charge. Then again, asking him to step down may destroy him, set the people of the monastery into a depression, and send this entire camp into moral disarray. My choice is a difficult one.
