Sword Limitations[edit]

I question "It also seems to prevents its wielder from attacking with it...". I don't think the sword directly stops him from attacking people it just gives him intimate knowledge and insight about a person. And once he knows them that well he can't bring himself to kill them. (which is why Karpasic freaked out when he had the sword. He suddenly had insight into how the people around him actually felt about his pompous ass) -- Fenyx4 (talk) 18:40, 19 March 2014 (UTC)
- I got that from this quote in Chapter 13:
- “All this over a worthless sword,” Aren groused.
- “Worthless?” Syenna asked skeptically.
- “Yes, worthless,” Aren replied.
- “Now what are you talking about?” Syenna sighed.
- “Look, ever since I found this sword I haven’t been able to attack anyone with it,.” Aren shrugged as best he could with his hands tied. “What good is a sword that won’t kill?”
- “Quite so,” Zhal nodded. “One of many questions I would like to have answered about your most remarkable weapon.”
- It doesn't say that he didn't feel he couldn't attack someone, it says he hadn't been able to, thus indicating that he at least tried. We were not privy to it, but there are several large gaps in the continuity of the story, so its hard to say. --Browncoat Jayson (talk) 19:55, 19 March 2014 (UTC)
