The giant phoenix is known as Riei Firefeather. Like the Phoenix of Mythology, when Riei Firefeather is killed the first time, it will "rise from the ashes" (becoming alive again). You have to kill Riei Firefeather a second time to ensure it stays dead. Riei Firefeather is not tamable.

Note: There is also a Magical Summons called Phoenix in the Sun Magic skill tree.

  • Riei Firefeather was added in Release 21 as a "boss monster" type fight, intended for multiple characters to defeat, and to test large NPC movement (such as flight).
