Six different Vaults can be found throughout New Britannia, on the Novian Continent. Each of these vaults are needed to be visited to complete The Path of the Oracle series of quests. The vaults are located in various regions, and can be entered into by several different scenes.
- There are six ruined cities found in Novia that date back to the period in Novian history in which the Obsidian Order rose to power. (These were first described in the “Sword of Midras” prequel novel, by Tracy Hickman and Richard Garriott). The exact history of some of these cities has been lost to time, but it is rumored that some of them may have been abandoned even before the rise of the Obsidians. These ruins include Opalis, Libris, Rhun, Midris, Kas, and Dysborg. Deep beneath these ruins lie Underground Vaults that rumors hint are somehow linked to the Dire Prophecies. Rumor also has it that the vaults are not only connected to the ruins above but also the vast underground network of dungeons and sewers that crisscrosses Novia below.

- Libris Vault This scene can be entered from Serpent's Spine Mines or the Libris Ruins.
Midmaer[edit]
- Midras Vault This scene can be entered from Midmaer Passage or the Midras Ruins.
South Paladis[edit]
- Opalis Vault This scene can be entered from The Rise or the Opalis Ruins.
Drachvald[edit]
- Rhun Vault This scene can be entered from Graff Gem Mines or the Rhun Ruins.
