Obsidian Wars is the third age of New Britannia history.

Ah, the third era, which the Epitaph reminds us of so visibly. When some believed that they could rule over us all, and that the only virtue worth speaking of is raw power. And yet so much has been given birth from then - the elves, the trolls, the fauns, the satyrs. Even though birthed from evil, they deserve a chance at life as much as we. I hope my study of the Obsidians will show the truth of this.[1]

Lore[edit]

  • The founder of the Obsidian Empire renounced his name and only called himself the Obsidian Eye.
  • The Cabal of Obsidians used captured human slaves to make some Formorian creatures to serve in their armies.
  • Samael: The Obsidian War raged all across the face of Novia some 200 years ago. Most legends state that the fall of Midras was the beginning of the war, though that is false history. Samael: The Drachvald was the first to be attacked by the Obsidians in force, but the other cities at the time refused to believe the threat was real. They abandoned the Drachvald to its doom.
  • A great blow was done to the Obsidian Empire with the defeat and destruction of the Army of Westreach at Opalis.
