Imbued Gem

There are 2 general categories of Imbued gems:
- Imbued Attunement Gems - these gems are crafted from non-imbued gems. When these gems are socketed into equipment, they add +25 Attunement.
- Imbued Gems Salvaged From Artifacts - these gems are created by salvaging certain Artifacts. When these gems are socketted into equipment, they add an effect that is related to the artifact from which it was salvaged.
Imbued Gems cannot be socketed into Artifacts, Ephemeral Relics, or Pet/Summons Equipment. They can only be socketed into non-artifact, player-crafted weapons, shields, and chest pieces using the following recipes at an Alchemy Station:
- Recipe: Imbued Gem Socketed Chest Armor - a chest piece can be socketed with 1 imbued gem.
- Recipe: Imbued Gem Socketed One-Handed - a one-handed weapon or shield can be socketed with 1 imbued gem.
- Recipe: Imbued Gem Socketed Two-Handed - a two-handed weapon can be socketed with 2 imbued gems of the same type (using different types of gems does not work).
These socketting recipes only drop from the Elves in the The Obsidian Panopticon, with the highest chance to drop from the Obsidian Watch Commander.

As an example, socketing an Imbued Gem of Rending into a Chest armor piece, using the Recipe: Imbued Gem Socketed Chest Armor at an Alchemy Station, will give the chest piece a +20% Rend Damage effect.
Imbued Gems Salvaged From Artifacts[edit]
Gem Yield From Artifact Salvage[edit]
Salvaging an artifact will yield Ancient Essences. For eligible artifacts, salvage may also yield either an Imbued Gem or an Imbued Jewel. Certain artifacts yield only imbued gems, while other artifacts yield only imbued jewels. An artifact can never yield both gems and jewels.

Imbued Attunement Gems[edit]
Imbued Attunement Gems are not salvaged from Artifacts, they are crafted from non-imbued gems. The recipes for making imbued attunement gems drop as loot in certain zones and/or from certain creatures..
These Gems add +25 attunement for each one that is socketed into a weapon, shield, or chest piece.
