Belt of the Ox is an Artifact item. This belt grants additional Encumbrance Capacity, but it inflicts a Move Speed penalty. Tier level does not effect the move speed penalty (e.g. common & epic have the same move speed penalty). The Encumbrance Capacity buff is applied to your base carry capacity (i.e. the amount you can carry when all other non-strength encumbrance buffs are excluded).
This item has five different tier types:
- Belt of the Ox, Common
- Belt of the Ox, Uncommon
- Belt of the Ox, Rare
- Belt of the Ox, Legendary
- Belt of the Ox, Epic
Where Found[edit]
Belt of the Ox can be found occasionally as loot drops, including from the Kobold Brawler (with increased drop rates from higher tier Kobolds).

Bring Bone to Erla quest (nibbled bone quest) - this one of the Daily Quests. A Belt of the ox, Common is awarded from completing this quest.[1] Also, see the following pages: Erla, Search for Missing Bone, Nibbled Bone.

By destroying this item using a Blacksmithing Station and the Salvage Item recipe, you have a chance to obtain the following. If an item states specifically it has a pattern in the item description, the stated pattern will always be obtained:

The Imbued Jewel of the Ox can be socketed into a non-artifact crafted Ring and Necklace items, with the recipe Recipe: Imbued Jewel Socketed Ring or Amulet.
The chance for this item to be yielded from salvaging, depends on the tier type of the item salvaged. Artifact Salvaging Chance to yield an Imbued Gem or Jewel:
