Unique Aspects of South Boundless Forest[edit]

Blessing of the Tamer (adds 10 levels to your pet) - this is the only zone where you can obtain the Blessing of the Tamer. To obtain this Blessing, you need to solve a puzzle. See this post in the forum puzzle thread for instructions on how to get the blessing.
Forest Mangler - the kobolds in this zone are the only creatures that drop this artifact (but it can also drop from Supply Bundles and from Storehouse Containers in Castle Atos, Mud, Port Graff, and Storms Reach). The Forest Mangler has a chance to be found as loot from the Kobolds that inhabit the point of interest called Kobold Logging Outpost in South Boundless Forest. The Forest Mangler has a higher chance to drop from the Logging Camp Foreman (a miniboss Kobold).
Viking Emote - this zone is the only place to obtain this Emote. The emote a dance. Speak to Visna, who is standing near the base of the Cursed Hilltop. You must complete a minor quest to get the emote.

Release Notes Description of this Zone[edit]

South Boundless Forest is a Tier 3 adventuring area in the North Paladis region far north of Yew, along the road to the Kas Ruins. This forest of ancient redwoods is the site of a major Kobold logging operation that supplies lumber to Kobold locations as far away as K’rul. Stag clan barbarians have set up permanent camps in nearby ruins, once the home of an ancient colosseum from pre-cataclysm times.^[1]
This scene contains a puzzle that awards the new Tamer blessing.^[2]

Trivia[edit]

The forests are home to a group of native barbarians, who have made their home in the ruins of an ancient amphitheater. A kobold mining operation has moved in, and is slowly devouring the barbarian’s homes. The new look for this map is inspired by the giant redwood forests of California, The ruins of amphitheaters such as the Colosseum, and scenes from the movie, the 13th warrior.
