Combo Skills
This article is currently under construction. You are welcome to help in its construction by editing it as well. |
Combo Skills, (otherwise known as spellweaving or combos), are combat attacks that can be created by combining two specific combat glyphs with another within a combat deck in combat. When clicking and dragging one of the specific combat glyphs and dragging it onto another specific glyph will create a combo. Each combo requires two specific glyphs to be combined, to create the combo. Combo Skills cannot be made from glyphs that are in a combat deck, where the combat glyphs are locked.
(on the deck, opened by pressing “Y”) by either dragging one skill onto another one or by pressing the Start Glyph Combo (default: R) then the first skill hotkey followed by the second skill hotkey. Creating a combo skill makes it behave as if it was a freshly dealt skill, meaning its fade out timer is reset. Combos can be discarded by right clicking or dragging them off screen like normal skills.
There are two types of combos, by combining different skills and by using the same skill. The first are unique combos, where two different Glyphs are combined into a new Glyph for a skill not otherwise available. These unique combination Glyphs often have the effects of both skills used to create them. On the second type of combos, two Glyphs of the same skill can be combined into into a more powerful and efficient Glyph of the same type. Benefits include decreased focus cost, additional damage, and more. As many copies of a Glyph as you have in your deck can be combined into a single Glyph, and the stacked Glyph becomes more powerful with every copy combined.

Trivia[edit]
- When introduced, the combat method in Shroud of the Avatar was explained as a deck of cards and Spellweaving was explained as playing pairs of cards as a combo.
- The first player sourced combo skill idea was from Arkah EMPstrike and is the Summon Skeleton Mage spell. He also contributed the Evaporate and Sacrifice spells. These three spells were all introduced in Release 19 by Chris Spears.
