Combo Skills
| This article is currently under construction. You are welcome to help in its construction by editing it as well. |
Combo Skills, (otherwise known as spellweaving, combos, or combinations), are spells or melee attacks that can be created by combining two specific skill glyphs. However, combos can only be created from glyphs that are not locked in the Combat Bar. Creating the combo can be done by either of the following methods:
- Click and hold the mouse button down on one glyph and then drag it onto the other glyph.
- Press the Start Glyph Combo keybind (default key is "R"), then the press the Combat Bar keybind for one skill, then press the Combat Bar keybind for the other skill.
Creating a combo skill makes it behave as if it was freshly dealt, meaning its fade out timer is reset. Combos can be discarded by right clicking or dragging them off screen like non-combo skills.
There are two general categories of combos:
- Combos that create a unique skill that is not available by any other means. These unique combination Glyphs often have the effects of both skills used to create them.
- Combos that create a skill that is also available as a non-combo skill.
To see the available combo skills in the game interface, click on the Combat Decks window. Then left-click the cog icon on the right of any deck and select "Modify Deck" from the menu. In the Deck Modification window that opens, click the "Combos" tab in the upper left. If you want to see all combos (including combos you cannot perform because you have not learned the skills needed), then select the "Show Unavailable Combos" check-box.
Combo Skill versus Stacking Glyphs[edit]
A combo skill is usually considered to be created by combining two different skills. Stacking glyphs is not combining different skills, rather it is combining the same skills. The number of times that you can stack a glyph depends on your skill level and whether you are specialized in the skill tree. In most cases, the more times you stack a skill, the more powerful it becomes. For example, a 5 stack of rend does far more damage than a 1 stack of rend.

Trivia[edit]
- When introduced, the combat method in Shroud of the Avatar was explained as a deck of cards and Spellweaving was explained as playing pairs of cards as a combo.
- The first player sourced combo skill idea was from Arkah EMPstrike and is the Summon Skeleton Mage spell. He also contributed the Evaporate and Sacrifice spells. These three spells were all introduced in Release 19 by Chris Spears.
